YinChuan to Urumqi:
This
ride went from NingXia to Gansu then to XinJiang.
The roads are long and flat, highest elevation is
over 3792 meters. There are plenty of gas stations.
People are friendly, food however is quite different,
lots of bread (naan) and lamb.
Western
China has a large populations of Muslim people, the
majority of people that live in this area is of Turkish
origin. 500 years and more back in history communications
with the world came along the silk road thus western
China was the center for trade and where western influences
