The mountains surrounding Beijing is perfect for riding. It has reservoirs, trails, waterfalls, rivers, farms, historical villages and importantly the Great Wall. You can go hiking, fishing, horse riding, treking, camping, river rafting, etc. Since mid 2005 there has been many newly paved roads up in the mountains which makes riding even more fun especially around those hairpin turn.
